The story of Taqueria Don Victor started with Juan & Adela a couple of immigrants who came to The United States 20 years ago to seek a better life for them and there kids. They knew it wasn't going to be easy, Juan work as a butcher in a Mexican meat market and Adela as a housekeeper cleaning 20 rooms a day in a Hotel for many years.Juan and Adela decided they wanted there American dream a business of there own, and they knew exactly what they wanted to do so they did. Coming from the state of Hidalgo, Mexico and knowing there Families recipes Barbacoa de borrego and a lot of Mexican traditional dishes and also Adela homemade cooking was just perfect for there new adventure as restaurant owners. The name Don Victor is in honor of the father of Juan a well know Barbacoyero in the state of Hidalgo.
Taqueria Don Victor specializes on Barbacoa De Borrego (Lamb Barbecue) it"s Lamb slowly cooked with maguey leaves this is a traditional dish in the state of Hidalgo and some of other souther states of Mexico. We also offer a variety of topical dishes like Chiles Rellenos, Enchiladas, Tacos, and we are proud to be one of the fe restaurants that offer real Homemade dishes something you will find in most of all Mexican houses or even down in Mexico, we like to make our own Handmade tortillas and yes we make everything there for you to see that we work with fresh ingredients, you will love and enjoy our food and our staff, they are very friendly and will treat you like Familia.
